gold leafing
The inspiration to create with gold leaf came from an Andy Warhol exhibition at SFMOMA. The “Golden Shoe Series” is exquisite.
felt and fur crafting
Skandinavian gnomes called “Tomte” are solitary, mischievous domestic spirits that according to legend protect homes. These little guys are hand-crafted and stiched, no glue involved. Given to friends and family at the beginning of Chistmas Season.
paper and glue
This was fun and super simple - cutting strips, glueing together, adding Herhsey Kisses, ribbons and tags. A sweet treat and a seating card at the same time for Christmas Dinner guests.
wreath making
twisting loose grape vines into a circle following their natural curve, in January after pruning of the vineyards. Throughout the year I decorate them with olive branches and foraged seasonal materilas like berries, moss, oak apples etc. Makes great decorations and gifts throughout the year.

wood working
These bowls are made out of staves from an old wine barrel. I had help from a wood worker friend since I do not have any of the necessary tools and I had no idea how much work it would be. Still planning on creating something with the hoops.

In all my years of hiking in Sonoma County I have never come across acorn stashes like these. Woodpeckers, squirls... Maybe due to COVID19 I pay more attention to nature. pic on L: Jack London State Park. pic on R: Sonoma Valley Regional Park. I must find more...
